Dataharvest 2014 has ended

Investigative journalists, data specialists and coding whiz kids will once again gather in Brussels this year for the fourth edition of Journalismfund.eu’s Dataharvest Conference. Dataharvest+ takes place on Friday 9, Saturday 10 and Sunday morning 11 May 2014.

Thursday, May 8 • 10:00 - 18:00
Pre Dataharvest Hackathon: Public tender data / European election / Farmsubsidies

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule, view media, leave feedback and see who's attending!

Focus this year: Public tenders in the EU – tracking EU tax payers’ money is spent. Data for covering the EP election. And of course Farmsubsidy data. Before the Dataharvest, we will spend a day digging deep into the EU’s data. In a hands-on event addressed at both coders and journalists, we’ll work in small teams to extract fresh data from EU institutions, make visualizations and find stories worth telling. In the run-up to the EU elections later in the month, we’ll work on two topic streams: During the Dataharvest+ Conference journalists and programmers will cooperate on developing stories.
